Basic Principles for Updating GitFlic

  • Running a version of GitFlic lower than the one last launched is not allowed.
  • Create a backup of the database and file system before updating.
  • Pay attention to the update instructions: If you are using GitFlic version 2.x.x, follow the steps in the migration guide from version 2.x.x to 3.x.x, then the guide for migrating from version 3.x.x to 4.x.x, and finally the guide for migrating from version 4.x.x to version 4.6.x. Instructions must be followed sequentially if your GitFlic version is behind the target version.
  • Replace the gitflic.jar distribution with the new one that contains the update.
  • Update the GitFlic agent and GitFlic helper by replacing the corresponding files. Use compatible product versions.
